Published on October 8, 2019, a Tanzanian artiste has made headlines after joining the secretive Freemasons group.

Beka Flavour, a Tanzanian artiste, has reportedly joined the group under the auspices of advancing his career, which has stalled in Tanzania's competitive entertainment industry.

Freemasonry, a fraternal organisation, has its roots in the local fraternities of stonemasons that regulated the qualifications of stonemasons and their interaction with authorities and clients from the 14th century.

According to Wikipedia, Freemasonry consists of three degrees: Apprentice, Journeyman or Fellow (now called Fellowcraft), and Master Mason. The degrees are part allegorical morality play and part lecture.
