On Tuesday morning, a devastating car accident took place at Kenyenya market in Kisii, claiming the life of one person.
The incident occurred when a driver, who was joining the Kenyenya-Mogonga road from Riokindo-Kenyenya road, collided head-on with a lorry coming from Magonga.
The driver of the saloon car, Griffins Ombaso, was rushed to Kenyenya Sub County Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Following the accident, members of the public attempted to lynch the lorry driver, but he managed to flee to Kenyenya Police Station, where he is currently in custody as investigations continue.
