On October 8, 2019, billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe flew Kenyan long-distance runner Eliud Kipchoge from Eldoret to Vienna, Austria, in his private Gulfstream G280 jet.

The private jet, valued at approximately $28 million, was flown from the UK to Eldoret and then to Vienna, where Kipchoge will participate in the INEOS 1:59 challenge.

As the founder of Inspec Ethylene Oxide Specialities (INEOS), Ratcliffe has sponsored the INEOS 1:59 challenge, which aims to break the two-hour barrier in marathon running.

Kipchoge, the current marathon world record holder, is expected to attempt to break the two-hour barrier in the challenge.

According to reports, the private jet will stop in Egypt to refuel before continuing to Vienna.

On October 8, 2019, Kipchoge was already in Austria, preparing for the challenge, and was expected to arrive in Australia on October 8 to discuss the event's schedule.

Initially, the organizers had planned for the event to take place on October 12, but they have since announced that they will hold discussions to determine the best date for the challenge.
