On October 6th, 2019, Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi made headlines with an extraordinary act of kindness, gifting his friend and fellow comedian MC Antonio a Mercedes Benz on his birthday.
According to Eric, he had owned the car for five years and had grown attached to it, referring to it as his 'first love.' In a heartfelt Instagram post, he wrote, 'Happy birthday bro…I’ve had this car for the longest time (5 years) it has served me well, I hope it serves you well, take care of her…She was my first love… Drive away, FLY HIGHEST.'
MC Antonio, visibly moved by the gesture, was seen posing next to the car, even lying on top of it before it was taken away. The two comedians have a long history of collaboration, having worked together on various projects, including Eric's 'Untamed' show and a parody of the hit song 'Kwangwaru.'
