On October 6, 2019, Argentine footballer Ezequiel Esperon tragically fell to his death from a 6-storey building in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Esperon, 23, was reportedly out partying with friends before the incident occurred.
According to reports, Esperon fell off the railing of the building, which was not properly closed, around 3am on the fateful night.
Esperon's friend, Alexis Mac Allister, took to Instagram to express his condolences, posting a picture of the late midfielder with the caption: 'Today your loved ones have another angel in Heaven. We will always remember you.'
Atlante, Esperon's Mexican side, tweeted: 'We deeply regret the death of Ezequiel Esperon. A hug to Heaven.'
Club Atletico All Boys, where Esperon played in the youth sides, also released a statement, saying: 'All Boys is deeply saddened by the death of Ezequiel Esperon.'
The authorities have since started investigating the death, but have ruled out suspicion of foul play, stating that the incident was mainly accidental.
