On October 8, 2019, Citizen TV star journalist Hussein Mohamed announced his exit from the media house after ten years, leaving fans and colleagues in shock.
However, his former colleague and Royal Media Service Strategy and Innovations director Linus Kaikai has come out to praise Hussein, saying he has been a fantastic person to work with.
"I would say his performance is evident and the public can judge that he was a dedicated journalist. He has been a fantastic person to work with, and a good interviewer as well," Linus Kaikai said.
Linus further encouraged aspiring journalists to emulate Hussein's dedication and passion for the job, saying that it's about working hard and knowing one's strength.
"Journalism is about passion and it does not matter what level you are in. Whether young or already established, you must bring passion to work and that is what Hussein brought in," Linus Kaikai added.
