On September 19 and 20, a 14-year-old boy allegedly committed a heinous act in Mau Narok, Njoro Constituency, leaving a one and a half year-old girl traumatized.
According to reports, the baby's mother had left her under the boy's custody, but he intentionally defiled the girl. Neighbours caught him red-handed and alerted the police.
The boy was arraigned in a Nakuru court on Monday and charged with the crime. Appearing before Senior Resident Magistrate Yvonne Khatambi, he denied the allegations.
He was released on a bond of Ksh.300,000 with a surety of a similar amount. The case will be mentioned on October 24.
The defiled minor had been admitted to hospital but has since been discharged. The prosecution has lined up seven witnesses to testify on the matter.
