Former Kenya Navy Officer Says Recovery Mission is Impossible ¶
James Kahia, a former Kenya Navy officer who is currently working in Israel, has expressed doubts about the possibility of recovering the bodies of the victims of the Likoni ferry disaster.
According to Kahia, the search for the bodies of the mother and child who went missing after the ferry capsized in the Indian Ocean is a daunting task. He notes that the pressure at sea is extreme, and the cold water can cause the body to sink quickly, making it difficult to locate the bodies.
Kahia also points out that the Likoni area is prone to strong currents and waves, which can make it challenging for divers to search for the bodies. He adds that the presence of strong currents and waves can also make it difficult for the bodies to be located.
Despite the challenges, Kahia believes that the recovery mission is impossible. He notes that the bodies may not be found due to the extreme pressure at sea and the cold water, which can cause the body to sink quickly.
However, Kahia's views are not shared by everyone. The Kenya Navy has deployed a team of divers to search for the bodies, and the government has promised to do everything possible to recover the bodies.
It is worth noting that Kahia's views are his own and do not reflect the views of TUKO.co.ke or any other organization.
