Police Informer Reveals Chilling Details of Lawyer Willie Kimani's Murder

On October 7, 2019, a police informer named Peter Ngugi revealed a chilling confession in court about the murder of lawyer Willie Kimani, his client Josephat Mwenda, and taxi driver Joseph Muiruri.

According to Ngugi's confession, the four police officers from Mlolongo Administration Police post, including Fredrick Leliman, planned and executed the murder in June 2016.

Ngugi stated that Leliman suffocated the three victims using a polythene bag and strangled them with a rope before dumping their bodies in a river.

Ngugi's confession revealed that he was paid Ksh.2,000 to follow the complainant after the court attendance and inform Leliman about the man's movement.

Ngugi's detailed confession was read out in court by Chief Inspector Geoffrey Kinyua, and it provided a shocking account of how the three victims were abducted, killed, and their bodies disposed of.

Four AP officers — Fredrick Leliman, Stephen Cheburet, Sylvia Wanjiku, and Leonard Maina Mwangi — and Ngugi are facing charges of killing Mr. Kimani, Mr. Mwenda, and Mr. Muiruri.

The bodies of the three were found in Athi River near Ol Donyo Sabuk police post a week after their disappearance.

Ngugi's confession has shed light on the brutal murder of the three victims, and it has raised questions about the involvement of police officers in the crime.

Ngugi's confession was read out in court on October 7, 2019, and it has been widely reported in the media.
