On September 16, 2019, a shocking incident occurred at French Ligue 1 club Nice, where a footballer stole a teammate's Sh9 million watch. The incident has led to the player's dismissal from the club.

Lamine Diaby-Fadiga, the 18-year-old footballer, confessed to the crime and apologized to his teammate, Kasper Dolberg, and the fans. In a bizarre explanation, Fadiga claimed he was motivated by 'jealousy' and 'frustration' due to being dislodged from the first team and a spell on the sidelines owing to injury.

Diaby-Fadiga's apology was met with a swift response from the club, with Nice releasing a statement announcing his contract termination with immediate effect. The club cited the player's confession as the reason for the decision.

It is reported that Nice and Dolberg are expected to drop the criminal investigation into the matter. Diaby-Fadiga has confirmed he will attempt to kick-start his career at Ligue 2 side Paris FC.
