On the eve of its fifth edition, the Pulse Music Video Awards (PMVA) is set to launch tomorrow, promising to be bigger and better than the previous years.
Named after Pulse Magazine, the oldest and longest-running entertainment magazine in Kenya, the awards have become a highlight of the Kenyan entertainment calendar.
Since its inception, the PMVA has been held at various venues, including the IMAX 20th century, Serena Hotel, Carnivore Simba Saloon, and Trademark Hotel. This year's venue promises to be an upgrade, according to the organisers.
The awards have been a platform for artists to showcase their talents, with fashion trends and styles being a major highlight of the red carpet moment.
2018 stands out as the most successful year, with a record 1,849 SMS votes and Nikita Kering, 16, becoming the youngest artiste ever to be honoured.
Submission of videos for the fifth edition opens tomorrow and will run till November 10. The videos should have been produced between November 2018 and October 2019.
The gala, which is slated for December, will be streamed on KTN Home. To submit your favourite artiste's videos, log on to www.pulser.co.ke/pmva.
