On October 7, 2019, TECNO unveiled the Camon 12 series smartphones in Kenya, marking the 6th generation of the brand's camera-centric Camon series.
The Camon 12 series comes in three variants: the Camon 12, Camon 12 Pro, and Camon 12 Air, each available in Aqua Blue, Boudreaux Red, and Midnight Black color options, with a nebula gradient-inspired design.
The Camon 12 features a 16 MP front camera with dual flashlights, allowing users to take crystal-clear selfies in low-light conditions.
The device boasts a triple AI max camera with 16+8+2 MP sensors, enabling users to capture up to 120° super-wide-angle shots and take close-up shots with the 2 CM Macro photography feature.
The Camon 12 is powered by MediaTek's Helio P22 chipset, which provides smart AI imaging, AI camera, reliable connectivity, and power efficiency.
The device also features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, Face ID unlock, Pin, and Pattern features for enhanced privacy.
The Camon 12 is priced at approximately Ksh.15,000 (₦47,500) and can be purchased at authorized TECNO dealer stores across the country.
