On October 7, 2019, the Harambee Starlets intensified their training ahead of their return leg match against Ghana in the 2020 Olympics qualifiers.

Having forced a 0-0 draw in the first leg in Accra, the team was optimistic about securing an impressive result in the second leg at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani in Nairobi.

According to head coach David Ouma, a win in the two-legged encounter would see the Starlets face either Zambia or Botswana in the next round of the qualifiers.
