On October 4, 2019, a heated exchange between rapper Khaligraph Jones and Sauti Sol's Bien Baraza left fans wondering what could have led to the altercation.
According to a video clip that went viral on social media, the fight took place during the rehearsals of Tusker Oktoberfest at Ngong Race Course on Friday night.
Savara, a member of Sauti Sol, has since dismissed rumors that the fight was a publicity stunt. He clarified that Khaligraph Jones had been abusing them on social media and they had a reason to teach him a lesson.
"Anaongea sana kwa mtandao ikabidi hapo tuende kwenye ground vitu tofauti," Savara said, explaining that they had to take action to prevent Khaligraph Jones from repeating his behavior.
He also revealed that they had planned a showdown with Khaligraph Jones in December, which would be a major event.
"Hakuna ngoma tunaplan na Khaligraph but tunapanga showdown kubwa sana December mimi na Khaligraph na Bien," Savara said.
