President Uhuru Kenyatta's support for McDonald Mariga in the Kibra by-election has been called into question by Jubilee MP Maina Kamanda.

Speaking at a PCEA church in Kibra on October 6, 2019, Kamanda stated that Uhuru Kenyatta would not campaign for Mariga, instead urging voters to support Imran Okoth, the ODM candidate.

Despite Uhuru Kenyatta having received Mariga and promising to support him, Kamanda claimed that the President would not campaign for him.

"You will not see President Uhuru Kenyatta coming here to campaign for Mariga because he is supporting Imran Okoth," Kamanda said.
