October 7, 2019 - Sony has finally made amends with its mobile gaming reach by expanding PlayStation 4 Remote Play to non-Xperia Android devices. This move comes after supporting iOS devices earlier this year.
With the latest update 7.0.0, users can now access Remote Play on their Android smartphones running Lollipop or newer versions. To use the feature, users need to download the PS4 Remote Play application from the Google Play Store.
However, users in regions not accounted for in the PlayStation Network's regions, such as Kenya, may face issues accessing the application through the Google Play Store. A workaround is to rely on third-party app stores and repositories like APKPure.
One of the most exciting features of the update is the support for DualShock 4 controllers on Android 10 devices. This means that users can now use their DualShock 4 controllers while engaging in remote play.
