SWVL and Little Shuttle Bus Sharing Services Suspended ¶
On September 30, 2019, the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) suspended SWVL and Little Shuttle, two popular bus sharing services in Kenya, citing licensing issues.
According to reports, the suspension was a result of the companies' failure to meet the required licensing standards. The NTSA has been cracking down on unlicensed operators in the industry, and SWVL and Little Shuttle were among those affected.
SWVL and Little Shuttle have been popular alternatives to traditional matatus, offering a more convenient and affordable way for commuters to travel. However, the suspension has left many users without a reliable means of transportation.
As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how SWVL and Little Shuttle will address the licensing issues and resume operations.
