On 6 October 2019, Nairobi County Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko took to social media to share a prayer post about a midnight dream that had left him sleepless.

At 1:27 AM, Sonko posted a prayer on his Facebook page, asking God to make his presidential dream a reality in the 2022 major elections.

According to Sonko, in his dream, he saw a pass-out parade paying respects to him as the Kenyan president after Uhuru Kenyatta's term ended.

Believing that everything is possible with God, Sonko cited the example of a Ukrainian comedian who was appointed president by God.

He promised to serve Kenyans if God fulfilled his dream, saying, 'Father, as I am on my knees with both hands raised towards you, promise to continually serve and change the lives of Kenyans, just as Uhuru has done.'

Concluding his prayer, Sonko said, 'Through Jehovah, everything is possible, and if Jehovah says yes, nobody can say no in Jesus's name.'
