On a largely disappointing tour of Meru County, Deputy President William Ruto found a moment of brilliance at a church service at Great Gospel Visioners Church on October 6, 2019.
DP Ruto, known for his love of God and church services, took to the pulpit to join the choir, stealing the show momentarily as he belted out gospel tunes.
A video shared by Dennis Itumbi shows the DP alongside a choir leader leading the congregation in a gospel song, with DP Ruto visibly clapping his hands and raising them in an attempt to keep up with the choir leaders.
Despite his initial unease, DP Ruto's performance seemed to energize the congregation, who sang with gusto amidst cheers.
