Published on October 6, 2019, Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic is said to be weighing his options for a potential January exit from the club, following continued snubbing from coach Frank Lampard.

The 21-year-old American arrived at Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2019, in a reported £58 million deal, replacing the departing Eden Hazard.

However, Pulisic has been overlooked in the last three Premier League games, and was even omitted from the Champions League squad against Lille, with players like Willian, Pedro, and Mason Mount seemingly ahead of him in the pecking order.

Coach Frank Lampard has addressed Pulisic's situation, urging him to work harder in training to merit a start.

"I spoke to him two days before the Grimsby game and was very clear about the standards and we have to give him the fact that he’s moved country and moved leagues," Lampard said.

"He’s as young as all the young players we keep talking about. He’s just turned 21. So I think everyone if anyone is getting too excited about this they should calm down because he’s started five games for us," Lampard added.
