On October 5, 2019, President Uhuru Kenyatta spoke at the funeral of Daniel Kasirimo ole Muyaa, a former chairman of the defunct OlKejuado County Council, in Kajiado.

The President emphasized the importance of unity and peace in achieving Kenya's development objectives, citing Kajiado as an example of a peaceful and progressive county.
