Akothee has since denied any involvement in the video, stating that she has never released a sex tape and would not do so in the future.
Self-proclaimed president of single mothers Akothee has been at the center of the controversy, with many accusing her of being the woman in the video.
However, socialite Huddah Monroe has come out in support of Akothee, stating that she has never watched a sex tape as tasteless as the one being circulated.
"Never watched something so tasteless! I returned it to the sender! They asked why I told them to watch again and ask themselves why they sent it to me," Huddah posted on social media.
She also questioned the authenticity of the video, stating that it could not be Akothee due to her high energy levels.
"Never watched a sex tape that was soo flat like that one y'all claiming is Akothee. It can't be her with all the energy she has! If it's her she needs a rewinds selekta video and start again. We need action," Huddah said.
Akothee has since responded to the allegations, stating that she will not release a sex tape and that her haters will never bring her down.
"You think you can bring me down? You spend sleepless nights planning my downfall. In short, my sex tape is never going to come anytime out soon," Akothee said.
