Jamaica's Fraser-Pryce Wins Ninth World Title in Relay

On October 5, 2019, the 2019 IAAF Athletics World Championships in Doha witnessed a remarkable performance by Jamaican sprint legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, who secured her ninth world title.

Fraser-Pryce, 32, ran a storming second leg in the 4x100 metres relay, propelling Jamaica to the top of the podium. The team, consisting of Natalliah Whyte, Fraser-Pryce, Jonielle Smith, and Shericka Jackson, celebrated their gold medal win.

Britain's Dina Asher-Smith anchored her team to the silver medal in 41.85 seconds, while the United States took bronze in 42.10 seconds.

For Asher-Smith, it was a superb championships, as she also took silver in the 100m event.
