Hellen Obiri Defends 5,000m Title at World Championships

On Friday night at the Khalifa International Stadium, Hellen Obiri made a triumphant return to form, defending her 5,000m title in style.

With a Championship Record time of 14:26.7, Obiri led from the gun to tape, securing Kenya's fourth gold medal in the championship.

Obiri's victory was a night of double success for Kenya, as Margaret Chelimo took silver, finishing second behind Obiri with a Personal Best time of 14:27.4.
