On Saturday, October 5, 2019, Kayole Starlets played a crucial match against Spedag in the Kenya Women Premier League at Stima Club in Nairobi.
Christine Ngoizi, a Harambee Starlets call-up, scored the winning goal in the 80th minute, securing Kayole's third win of the season and propelling them to 13th place with 14 points.
Spedag, now at the bottom of the 15-team log, has two games in hand and trails Kayole by two points.
Despite not training since last weekend due to logistical challenges, Kayole's Coach Joshua Sakwa praised his team's determination and passion for the game.
"We have had a challenge all week since our players come from different places and pulling resources to facilitate their transport to training has been tough. I'm glad that they still have the passion for game despite our current ranking and they always want to play to win," said Sakwa.
Meanwhile, Wadadia edged Kibera Girls Soccer Academy 1-0 in another match played at the same venue, with Wadadia's Coach Hassan Maloba expressing his team's desire to break into the top five.
