On October 5, 2019, Conseslus Kipruto made history by winning the gold medal in the Men's 3000m Steeplechase final at the 2019 IAAF Athletics World Championships in Doha, Qatar.
Despite battling a back injury for most of the season, Kipruto's determination and skill earned him the top spot, leaving Kenyans in awe and pride.
One Kenyan, Alex, took to Twitter to suggest that the Kenya Airports Authority recognize Kipruto's achievement with a billboard at the international arrivals in JKIA.
Kenya Airports responded positively, stating, 'Well noted! Billboard coming up soon at JKIA.'
