On October 5, 2019, detectives in Kenya made a significant breakthrough in the murder of Rai Cement factory General Manager Chetan Vyas, arresting five suspects linked to the crime.
The suspects, identified as Azim Salim (38), Osman Noor (24), Mohamed Shahid (38), Yacoob Wali (24), and Shabdin Ismail (29), are all loading supervisors at Rai Cement Company.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the suspects are assisting in further investigations, which include a terrorism angle.
The agency also cautioned companies that employ foreign-trained personnel to always seek their clearance, done through Interpol.
Earlier, a security guard at the factory was arrested, and the assailants were captured on a CCTV camera entering the house through the roof.
