On Saturday, October 5, 2019, the semi-finals of the Floodlit tournament will see KCB face Homeboyz at Impala Club, while Kenya Harlequin or Menengai Oilers await the winner.

KCB's title credentials will be put to test as they face Homeboyz, who have never won the Floodlit tournament. In contrast, KCB is chasing an eighth title, having won it for the past two years.

Homeboyz, under the tutelage of South African coach Hector Jason, came from behind to beat Nondescripts 23-14 in their quarter-final match. KCB, on the other hand, blew away Kenyatta University's Blak Blad 53-15.

The winner of the tie will face either Kenya Harlequin or Menengai Oilers, who will clash in the other semi-final. Kenya Harlequin reached the last four by virtue of their 19-14 triumph over Nakuru RFC, with their newly appointed coach Dominique Habimana guiding the team.

Coach Habimana expressed his satisfaction with the win, saying, 'A win is always a good thing for the team. As a coach, that is one of the major goals you try to accomplish and it was great in terms of motivating the players.'

Meanwhile, Nondescripts and Blak Blad, losers in the Main Cup semi-finals, have a second chance to contest for silverware when they clash in the Plate semi-finals.
