On Thursday, award-winning teacher Peter Tabichi addressed a session at London's renowned Science Museum, attended by Great Britain's top teachers.

Tabichi, who won the Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize in 2019, discussed ways to make sciences more engaging for students, emphasizing the importance of involving parents in the learning process.

He shared how his students performed exceptionally well in a school with limited resources, crediting the success to his approach of making sciences interesting and accessible.

Tabichi was inspired by the Science Museum's exhibition, drawing parallels with the awe his students experience when he explains natural phenomena.

He also discussed his school's Science Club, which he developed to foster a love for sciences among his students.

Tabichi expressed his gratitude for the invitation to the session, stating that he felt honored to be part of the brainstorming session.

He emphasized the potential of Africa to produce internationally recognized scientists, who could find solutions to the world's greatest challenges, if they receive the right education.

The Science Museum's group Director of Learning, Susan Raikes, welcomed Tabichi's attendance, stating that the organization was pleased to host the teacher.

She added that the teachers attending the session were likely fascinated by Tabichi's innovative teaching methods in an under-resourced school.
