Published on October 5, 2019, Daystar Power, a West African solar energy company, has achieved a major milestone by installing its 100th solar power system since its founding in 2017.
This achievement corresponds to a remarkable growth of 733 percent in the number of installed systems compared to the previous year, and a twenty-fold increase in the total installed power capacity from 291 kW in September 2018 to 5.6 MW in September 2019.
According to Christian Wessels, Founder and Executive at Daystar Power, the company's full-service offerings, including maintenance, have been instrumental in ensuring long-term operations for businesses and institutions in West Africa.
Daystar Power's clients include leading banks such as Ecobank, Wema Bank, Unity Bank, and Access Bank, as well as customers in manufacturing, agriculture, education, and health sectors.
In April this year, Daystar Power expanded its operations by opening a subsidiary in Ghana.
Unity Bank's Divisional Head, Resources, Hilary Ajuebon, expressed the bank's commitment to sustainability and environmental protection, highlighting the importance of partnering with companies like Daystar Power to convert their power supply to solar energy.
