Former Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale is grieving the loss of his first wife, Adelaide, who succumbed to cancer on Saturday morning at her home in Malinya, Ikolomani constituency.
According to Khalwale, who confirmed the sad news via his social media accounts, Adelaide died after a long battle with the disease.
“A sad morning. Death has just robbed my first wife,” Khalwale posted on social media.
Adelaide, a staff member at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, was a seasoned academic who had graduated with a Master’s in Business Administration from KCA University.
The body of Adelaide has been taken to St Elizabeth’s Mukumu Hospital for further arrangements.
It is worth noting that Khalwale, a proud polygamist, has two wives, including the late Adelaide and his second partner Josephine Khalwale.
