NTV has announced a change in hosts for its popular reggae show, Jam Down, following the exit of DJ Kriss Darlin. The new host is none other than popular reggae DJ Moh Spice, who will co-host the show with Miss Katiwa.
According to sources, NTV executives terminated their contract with DJ Kriss Darlin after he showed interest in politics and lost in the ODM party ticket primaries for the upcoming Kibra by-election.
As per NMG policy, Kriss Darlin had to exit the show after expressing interest in politics. The policy requires hosts to maintain a neutral stance.
On August 2019, DJ Moh Spice was arrested for unlawfully displaying a gun at a friend's birthday party in Nairobi. He was later released without charges, but his pistol and ammunition were confiscated.
NTV's new reggae show, Jam Down, will now air after the 7pm news and feature a live reggae session on Nation FM.
"Following DJ Kriss Darlin's exit, we've settled on DJ Moh Spice as his suitable replacement for the new show called Jam Down Reggae Show which he will co-host with Miss Katiwa who has been amazing so far," a source revealed.
