On October 5, 2019, Kenyan artists Sage Chemutai and Tetu Shani released a new song called 'Legend' as part of the once a month challenge (OSAM) featuring Kenyan artists.
The song, which is the third release for the OSAM challenge, urges people to never give up even when things seem impossible.
According to the song's hook, Sage sings, “Even if the sun don’t shine I don’t mind, I just light a candle, even if my plans fall through, I hold on, cause I like to battle, even when it all falls (down3), I keep my head high, wear my (crown3).”
The song's authenticity and the glorious voices of both Tetu Shani and Sage Chemutai make it a standout track.
The video concept for 'Legend' was also well-received, with some comparing it to the style of Makmende.
Lastly, the reggae pop beat and instrumentals of 'Legend' are a highlight of the song.
