Published on October 4, 2019, African Ranking compiled a list of the most expensive stadiums in Africa, with some of the most notable ones being in South Africa.
Among the top 10 most expensive stadiums in Africa, Tanzania's Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium stands out with a construction cost of $53 million and a capacity of 60,000.
Other notable stadiums include the Estadio 11 de Novembro in Angola, with a construction cost of $227 million and a capacity of 50,000, and the Abuja Stadium in Nigeria, with a construction cost of $360 million and a capacity of 60,491.
The Cape Town Stadium in South Africa takes the top spot with a construction cost of $600 million and a capacity of 64,100.
