On October 4, 2019, Citizen TV lost one of its most respected journalists, Hussein Mohamed, who announced his exit after a decade-long tenure at the SK Macharia-owned station.

According to his tweet, Mohamed has decided to take a break to concentrate on other matters, leaving behind a legacy of excellent interviewing skills that earned him a reputation for asking tough questions while keeping his subjects civil.

During his time at Citizen TV, Mohamed rose from a low-level reporter to one of the station's most respected journalists, interviewing prominent figures such as Deputy President William Ruto and ODM Leader Raila Odinga.

While it is unclear where Mohamed will be heading next, he has promised his fans that they will see him soon.
