On September 27, 2019, the Daily Nation introduced a new way of binding its newspapers, using a small white tape instead of staples. This change has been well-received by some readers, including Kimamo Kimathi from Nairobi, who appreciated the convenience and safety it provided.

However, not all readers are pleased with this change. Benjamin Kibias from Nairobi noted that the tape often covers readable material, making it inconvenient for readers.

Another issue that has been raised by readers is the editing of letters to the editor. Dennis Sinyo from Bungoma expressed his frustration with editors who 'butcher' letters under the guise of having the right to edit them. He suggested that editors should edit letters with a human heart and make them presentable.

Aggrey Tiema Kulali from Mombasa shared his experience of submitting articles to the Daily Nation only to have them heavily edited and published in a truncated form. He suggested that the newspaper should appoint seasoned editors who can handle writers' views with patience and respect.

Public Editor responded to these concerns, explaining that editors do not publish everything they receive due to space constraints and that good editing does not necessarily come with age. However, the Public Editor also acknowledged the importance of quality assurance and promised to look into the issue of corrections in the newspaper.

Finally, a resident of Njoro and a journalist pointed out an error in the Daily Nation 's 'Our Heritage' column, where two caves were mistakenly identified as the same site. The resident urged the newspaper to be more accurate in its reporting and to respect the knowledge of local residents.
