On a thrilling Thursday night, October 3, 2019, Arsenal took on Standard Liege in a Group F Europa League clash at the Emirates, emerging victorious with a 4-0 win.

Gabriel Martinelli broke the deadlock in the 14th minute, and just two minutes later, he netted the second goal, giving Arsenal a two-goal lead.

Joseph Willock scored Arsenal's third goal in the 22nd minute, and the Gunners went into the break with a 3-0 lead.

After the restart, Unai Emery's side seemed to slow down their quest for goals, but Daniel Ceballos netted Arsenal's fourth goal three minutes before the hour mark, securing the win.

Despite late scoring chances, no further goals were scored, and the final whistle blew with Arsenal leading Group F with 6 points after three games.

Meanwhile, Vitoria de Guimaraes suffered a 0-1 home defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt, allowing the German side to claim the second spot with 3 points and superior goal difference.
