On October 3, 2019, gaming firm BetLion made a significant announcement that would change the way its customers access its website. In a move aimed at reducing data bundle usage, BetLion revealed that its website would be accessible at no cost to Safaricom network subscribers.
According to Spencer Okach, Managing Director of BetLion, the decision was made to make entertainment more welcoming to its customers. 'We released a low data usage platform and we have now gone one better by making it free to access,' Okach said.
With this new development, customers on the Safaricom network can now access BetLion's website without incurring any data charges. This move is expected to increase user engagement and accessibility for the gaming firm's services.
Notably, BetLion's Jackpot currently stands at Sh350 million, making it one of the biggest in the continent.
