On a slippery ground at Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa, Posta Rangers and Bandari shared the spoils in a tough Kenyan Premier League match on October 3, 2019.
The match started 15 minutes after a heavy downpour had stopped, with Rangers scoring through Francis Nambute and Bandari levelling via an own goal by Posta Rangers' defender, Suleiman Osman.
Despite having the upper hand in the second half, Bandari's attack was thwarted by Posta Rangers' unbeatable defence.
Bandari's assistant coach Nassoro Mwakoba attributed the result to fatigue, citing that his players had no rest time due to a long travel from Tunisia where they played a return Caf Confederation Cup match against US Ben Guerdane.
"They tried and although we needed the three points, we are happy we did not leave the field empty handed," said Mwakoba.
Posta Rangers' coach Sammy Omollo expressed satisfaction with his team's performance, praising his defenders for taming the Bandari forwards.
"I'm happy with my defenders for they managed to tame the Bandari forwards," said Omollo.
