On October 3, 2019, Equity Group marked a significant milestone in its history, celebrating 35 years of existence in the Kenyan market. The company, which started its journey in 1984, has undergone a transformation and regional expansion, necessitating a refreshed brand identity.

Equity's new identity is designed to create a sustainable growth path and service delivery in today's rapidly changing financial services environment. The company will present itself as a unified brand, offering a basket of products and services under one roof, ranging from banking to insurance and investment.

Commenting on the move, Equity Group CEO and Managing Director Dr. James Mwangi noted that the refreshed positioning follows an extensive three-year process of sounding out its current and future customer segments.
