On October 3, 2019, Zari Hassan, the ex-wife of Tanzanian artiste Diamond Platnumz, publicly criticized him, calling him 'Mwaume suruali' just days after he turned 30.
'Mwaume suruali' is a slang term used to describe a man whose job is to impregnate and dump women.
The criticism came after Diamond Platnumz celebrated his 30th birthday by unveiling his son with Tanasha Donna, which Zari Hassan found disappointing.
Sharing a photo of himself and the baby, Diamond Platnumz wrote, 'Happy Birthday to us ❤?❤.'
Tanasha Donna also shared the same photo of Diamond Platnumz celebrating his birthday with the caption, 'Happy birthday to the loves of my life. ❤️ God is good.? @diamondplatnumz ❤️??.'
However, Zari Hassan, who is an ex of Diamond Platnumz, went ahead to wish him a happy birthday, hinting that he was just a man who hits the sheets and runs away from responsibilities.
According to Zari Hassan, Diamond Platnumz had accused her of infidelity, claiming she was cheating with her gym instructor and also with Peter OKoye, formerly of P-Square, which she refuted.
On the other hand, Zari Hassan accused Diamond Platnumz of being an absentee and a deadbeat dad who is not bothered about his kids' welfare.
She claimed that Diamond Platnumz had even warned his mother not to call her grandkids, saying, 'DIAMOND'S MOTHER USED TO CHECK UP ON US ALL THE TIME. BUT PLATNUMZ TOLD HER CALLING ME AND TALKING TO THE KIDS A LOT YET I DON'T TALK TO THEM MAKES ME LOOK BAD. AND IT'S FROM THERE HIS MOTHER STOPPED CALLING. I THEN WOULD CALL HER SEVERAL. BUT LATER THINGS CHANGED.'
