Kenyan women have long complained about the stinginess of their male counterparts, with some even going as far as to say they would rather die than spend a dime on them.
One such woman, Rachael, shared a harrowing experience of dating a man who gave her a paltry Ksh 100 after she spent the night at his house.
'I was like if this guy ended up marrying me, I would be miserable forever,' Rachael said, recounting the incident.
However, Rachael's story took a turn for the better when she decided to take matters into her own hands and started working hard to earn her own cash. She eventually got married to a man who is a provider and gives her money without her even asking.
But Rachael's experience is not an isolated case. Another woman, who has been married for 25 years, revealed that her husband has never provided a dime for her during their entire marriage.
'I take care of myself alone,' she said, adding that her husband earns almost four times what she earns and even asks her to remove items from their shopping cart.
These stories raise questions about the financial support that women expect from their partners and whether it's reasonable to expect men to provide for them.
