Published on October 3, 2019, a 25-year-old man appeared in Makadara law courts, charged with assaulting his 38-year-old lover.
Peter Mwaniki Wambura denied the charges, claiming Annah Ndinda Makanga is bitter with him for ending their affair.
Wambura stated that Makanga is older and he wanted to start a family, but she refused to let him leave.
He alleged that Makanga had been taking his Sh1,000 government support as an orphan, and that their secret affair had been ongoing for some time.
The suspect claimed they fought in public after Makanga asked him why he had slapped her child.
Wambura was released on Sh 15, 000 cash bail and the case will be mentioned on October 16.
