Published on October 2, 2019, Tottenham's search for a new manager has taken an interesting turn, with Jose Mourinho emerging as the bookies' favourite to replace Mauricio Pochettino.
The Portuguese manager has had a successful career in various top-tier leagues, including Portugal, England, Italy, and Spain, but was sacked as Manchester United boss in December 2018 after a poor start to the season.
Since then, Mourinho has been working as a sports pundit, but it seems his managerial skills are still in high demand. According to SportNation.be, Mourinho is the number one candidate to replace struggling Pochettino, who is currently -6/4 favourite to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked.
However, Mourinho has been installed as the favourite to be the next boss at the Tottenham Stadium at 3/1, ahead of Ex-Juventus boss Max Allegri at 5/1 and Eddie Howe of Bournemouth at 6/1.
The news comes after a tumultuous week for Tottenham, which saw them knocked out of the Carabao Cup on penalties by League Two outfit Colchester United and suffer a humiliating 7-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on October 1.
