A 4-year-old girl's life was brutally cut short in a heinous crime that has left her family reeling with grief and demanding justice.
The girl's body was discovered on Monday, four days after she had been reported missing, at the Egerton University farm.
According to her father, Bernard Rono, the body was found covered with grass and showed signs of strangulation, with marks on her neck.
Speaking at the Egerton University mortuary during the postmortem exercise, Mr. Rono urged the police to ensure that they bring the culprits to book, stating, "It had been covered with grass and her neck was found with marks of strangulation. We suspect the girl was abducted after arriving home from school last Thursday," as reported by Citizen Digital.
Mr. Rono also claimed that some of the criminals responsible for the heinous crime are known to the villagers but continue to roam freely.
The girl's burial has been scheduled for Wednesday at Tiritagoi village in Nessuit, Nakuru County.
Investigating officers who were present during the postmortem exercise did not comment on the matter.
