On October 2, 2019, Mama Baha spoke to TUKO.co.ke, denying the death rumors and stating that she was alive and in good health.
"I am alive. Bloggers should verify information before publishing it. I offer my condolences to Mburu Kimani and his family following the death of his beloved wife, Pamela Wanjiru," she said.
However, her friends took to social media to confirm that Mama Baha was indeed alive and that the rumors had originated from the death of her husband, Mburu Kimani, a camera director on Machachari.
"The one who passed away is my husband, Mburu Kimani. Mburu is a camera director on Machachari. The actors who wanted to announce his death gave us false information and said it was Mama Baha who had passed away. I apologize to Mama Baha, her family, and fans in general. Condolences to Mburu Kimani for his passing," Emily Princess Kimani said.
