On October 2, 2019, Equity Afia, a subsidiary of Equity Group Foundation, marked another milestone in its mission to provide accessible healthcare services by launching a medical centre in Kahawa West.

The new clinic is part of Equity Afia's growing network of medical facilities, which now totals nine operational clinics across Ongata Rongai, Thika, Buruburu, Kayole, Kawangware, Ruiru, Nyeri, Nakuru, and Kahawa West.

Speaking during the launch ceremony, Executive Director of Equity Group Foundation, Reuben Mbindu, emphasized that Equity Afia's medical centres are National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) accredited, ensuring that quality medical services are accessible to all Kenyans.

“Through Equity Afia clinics, Kenya is a step closer to achieving Universal Healthcare Access for millions of Kenyans that need it,” said Mr Mbindu.

The Kahawa West clinic offers a range of services, including laboratory tests, pharmacy services, doctor's consultations, nursing care, and well-baby clinics. Additionally, the health centre provides dental and optical services, as well as specialist services that can be booked on request.

Since its introduction, Equity Afia has served and treated over 150,000 clients for various health conditions, promoting health and well-being in communities across the country.
