On October 2, 2019, a dramatic turn of events unfolded in Kajiado County when three men, including a secondary school teacher, were arrested and arraigned at the Kajiado Law Courts for allegedly engaging in homosexuality.

George Sane, a teacher at Marhab Girls Secondary School, was charged alongside Dickens Ouma and Martin Kithure, both from Mombasa County, with engaging in an unnatural act contrary to the law.

According to the court, the three men met on Facebook and agreed to meet in Kajiado, where the teacher allegedly paid each of the two men Ksh.10,000 for a sexual act.

However, the teacher failed to pay the agreed amount, insisting on paying half the price instead. This led to the two men, both in their early twenties, reporting the matter to the Kajiado Police Station.

The three men were subsequently arrested and arraigned, denying the charges. They were released on a cash bail of Ksh.100,000 each.
