Published on October 2, 2019, a recent trend in innovation has seen entrepreneurs across the globe rethinking everyday products to reduce their environmental footprint and stand out in the market.

One such innovation is the stone book, a product that has gained popularity due to its eco-friendly features. Karst, a company that has taken the lead in this innovation, has launched a line of notebooks made from stone powder, which is repurposed from mining and construction industries. The notebooks are waterproof, tear-resistant, and printed with soy ink, making them a sustainable alternative to traditional paper products.

Another innovative product is the biodegradable fridge made from food products like maize and eggshells. Arçelik, a Turkish manufacturing firm, has developed this technology, which reduces microplastic fibers in drainage systems from washing machines. The company plans to patent the idea but has decided not to pursue intellectual property protection for it.

The luxury toilet paper industry is also undergoing a significant transformation. With an estimated worth of $31 billion, entrepreneurs are introducing new variants that use bamboo instead of wood pulp, have less plastic packaging, and feature pretty designs. These luxury toilet papers promise a softer texture and more absorbent material, making them a desirable option for consumers.

These innovative products demonstrate the growing trend of entrepreneurs thinking outside the box to create sustainable and unique products that cater to the changing needs of consumers.
