Kenya's Medal Haul Continues at IAAF World Championship

On Tuesday night, Ferguson Rotich secured Kenya's fourth medal at the IAAF World Championship in Doha, Qatar, finishing third in the 800 meters finals.

Rotich clocked 1 minute 43.82 seconds, behind Amel Tuka of Bosnia and Herzegovina who won silver, and Brazier who took gold for the USA in a championship record of 1 minute 42.34 seconds.

Meanwhile, Faith Kipyegon will begin her title defense in the 1500 meters heats on the same day, teaming up with Winny Chebet to qualify for the semifinals.

World Champion Hellen Obiri, Margaret Chelimo, and Lilian Kasait will participate in the 5,000 meters heats on Wednesday afternoon.

Kenya currently sits fourth in the medal standings with four medals, including two gold and two bronze.
